Lead story: At the end of March, I went out into the desert to run 13.1 miles down Mt. Charleston in Nevada. Running in new places is one of my favorite ways to pass the time, especially when I can convince other people to do it with me. Home base was Las Vegas,
Lovely story. An aside on the Grand Canyon. Buckminister Fuller, talking about population growth, commented that all the human beings on the earth wouldn't fill the Grand Canyon.
This was so interesting. Really enjoyed the read but the model troupes - wow. It sounds like a confidence booster- I trip over my own feet so I’d love to sashay down a runway -or sidewalk. Goals!
Thanks this was fun!
What a fun trip! I had the good fortune to produce a documentary that involved a history scholar talking about her time at a HBCU. She was from Detroit and knew she wanted to attend Knoxville College. I loved looking at the Knoxville College year books from the Vietnam Era. So glad someone donated their yearbooks to this small local black history museum in town. Our doc briefly touched on the murder of black students at two other HBCU schools. We were hellbent on not give Kent State all the attention. Most people don't know about the other schools where students were shot by law enforcement during that time period.
Thank you for the shout-out! (I probably could have worked harder on the title, but know that it was from the heart.)
That is alot of flat highway to endure for 13.1 miles - you are a strong badass woman...but we already knew that! Can't wait to tune into the Lizzo series. Now I understand why she was on a recent segment of the Today show, dressed head to toe in pink and dancing!!
